I have been trying to run, no teleport my way through life. I've been trying to skip over all the important details in order to arrive at "landmark" life events in, what I find to be, a timely manner.
I believe it was the wise, oh so enlightened (hah!) Dan Cook who joked about the screw ups that would occur with teleportation- people would go missing, you would come through with your arm protruding from your face. He was right. Dang, he's good. When we rush through life we question the need for the day to day. When we focus on getting from point A and B as quickly as possible, we end our journey looking for fulfillment emptier than when we began.
When does the Bible ever tell us to ignore the mundane or that God isn't involved in the little things? "Walk," He says. In unity, in love, in light, in wisdom. "Follow me. Don't run ahead or cut corners or overt your eyes from the things that I want to teach you, to show you. Simply follow. When I rest, you shall rest; where I go, you shall go. If I tarry, I tarry with purpose. Today is the day to follow. Now. Walk- one foot at a time, one mile at a time, one day at a time. Just walk."
"If you love me you will keep my commandments." --John 14:15
Now get up & walk.
Teleportation has it's setbacks...

About Me

- Alyssa
- I'm 23 & I feel old already. I write because it's who I am. I appreciate a good song much more than a good book. All my heart wants to do is to travel this beautiful world in the name of Jesus.
