Procrastination Is the Name of the Game

I've been sitting here since 10 AM.

I called out of work this morning to work on a paper that I have due tomorrow. 10 pages. 10 freakin' long pages. Technically, it's 10 to 12 pages but I plan on doing no more than the bare minimum...down to the very line. I haven't written a 10 page paper since I've been in college. That's a lot of pages. 5-7 pages...alright, that's acceptable. Why 10? Just to be mean? Come on now. Let's smarten up, Professor H. You know that you're not really going to read the whole thing. I mean, honestly.

Typically I'd be pretty satisfied with myself. I've been writing for 4 hours now and I'm nearly done with my fifth page. However, that brings me little comfort knowing that I'm only have way done. HALF WAY. That means MINIMUM 4 more hours of work. Slaving over this 3,000 page book (no joke) writing about Romantic literature and the state of mankind. Just what I wanted to spend my day doing.

I really would give so much to just be done with this English degree. I hate it. I hate it ten times more than I hate pickles, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and waking up early combined. Ten times. I should have changed my major freshman year but my mom talked me out of it. Hmm... interesting.

I think that if I have to do one more internal citation or talk about William Wordsworth for another sentence, I'm going to start breaking stuff.

On the other hand, I did get invited to join the "Lambda Iota Tau" English honors society. Apparently I qualify to be knighted because I am so good at laughing my way through this English degree. That's depressing. It's so easy but yet so draining and time consuming.

you know, not to sound like well one of those crazy people who have forgotten how much 10 page papers suck, but I envy you. I love basicly putting something together from nothing. :) I'd love to help, if I could, :)
